LW10B-252 series SF6 circuit breaker is composed of three poles with one interrupter and one independent hydraulic operation mechanism per pole.
There are two types of design of interrupter for this series circuit breaker. One is of common puffer type with rated gas pressure of 0.6Mpa, used in common operation conditions. The other one is of composite puffer type with rated gas pressure of 0.4Mpa, used in low temperature conditions.
For the circuit breaker with rated gas pressure of 0.6Mpa, there are two kinds of hydraulic operation mechanisms available for customers option: CY hydraulic operation mechanism and CYT hydraulic operation mechanism.
The circuit breaker was subjected to the main tests in CESI, Italy. The first set of the series circuit breaker was put into service in 1998. And now there are about 4000 sets in operation in power grids around the world.
